Avalon City Council
The City Council is the legislative body of the City, serves as its corporate board of directors and is responsible for establishing City policy. Council Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers located at 410 Avalon Canyon Road. The Mayor is elected for a term of two years and Councilmembers are elected to serve four-year terms. The City Council's mission is to represent the citizens of Avalon, make policy decisions, exercise fiscal responsibility and authority, and to serve the best interests of all citizens of Avalon. The City Council works closely with the City Manager to ensure that policy is effectively implemented.
